Puffing Billy

This was taken from a carriage towards the back of the train as we rounded a bend!!

We docked in Melbourne today. A beautiful clean city with a diversity of architecture.


Our trip was out to the Dardenong Ranges about 25 miles from the city to take a trip on the restored antique narrow-gauge train through thick forest and fern filled gullies. A stop for tea and proper scones, also provided a chance to hand feed the native birds, before returning to the city for a guided tour. The port lecture yesterday came in handy for identifying the various buildings and providing a bit of history.
