Children's Memorial
This is one of the places I find the most poignant in Edinburgh, behind Gallery One - the old John Watson's school, (no relation to George btw) and before that John Watson's Institute which was founded "for the purpose of preventing child murder in the city of Edinburgh by providing an hospital".
The memorial and graves are just outside the back gate, to the right instead of to the left, which leads down to the Water of Leith.
Little individual grave markers each with a child's initials are in a small fenced off area.
A quiet, peaceful and out of the way little corner.
