I had a splendid day out with my pals yesterday, laughs, stories and lunch. We had an afternoon field trip to the restored Fogg Library in South Weymouth, Massachusetts, a grand little building with gorgeous paint and trim restorations, wonderful wood adornments and oak shelving. The fireplace was gorgeous, as well as this early water fountain with spigot.  It was a wonderful place to visit and revisit with folks who remembered it with such fondness. Two in our group had spent many after school hours there while in high school, studying... and flirting with boys  It is a really  beautiful building with the lovely smell of wood and well loved books.

For the Record,
This day came in ABOVE FREEZING, but with it's own set of woes. Roof collapses are multiplying now with last night's new snow, freezing rain and just plain rain adding to the enormous snow weight covering everything. This is so extraordinary, so many storms with no melting in between. Potholes, narrow roads, dangerous driveway exits and entrances, it's just a headache to try to carry on in ordinary ways.

All hands healing.

The Marathon Bombing trial begins today. It's a very upsetting event re-opening wounds that will  perhaps never heal. Members of our family, blip family and Boston were so affected, and unfortunately involved, all now need good thoughts more than ever.
