Pebblebed heathland

Today I went on an organised walk in East Devon taking in the pebblebed heathlands of Woodbury Common, where this was taken.  The heathlands are designated a special area of conservation and have a very different appearance to the green hills in the distance.

It was a beautifully sunny day but with some cold winds on the higher parts.  A great walking day.
