Scots Pine, Brainjohn, Haddo Estate

I took an extended lunch break today and took a long stroll around the Haddo Estate to clear my chest - and my head! - which worked wonders, as I got back to work re-energised and ready to carry on with what had been a very complex and frustrating day.

Here we see one of the characterful Scots Pines (Pinus sylvestris) beside the drive that runs from the B9170 to Haddo House via the House of Formartine, near the curiously-named settlement of Brainjohn.
