Hamburg Rathaus

Built at the height of the Second Reich, the Hamburg City Hall exudes the wealth and confidence of the Hansestadt City of Hamburg;

It was built in neo-Renaissance style between 1886 and 1897.  In the courtyerd seen here is the Fountain of Hygeia, the Greek Godess of Health.  This is a memorial to a cholera outbreak in 1992.
