Aperture on Life

Moonrise Sunset

This is the only photo I took today and on my phone as I didn't have a camera with me.  The sunset was quite spectacular as I left the farm. I turned and saw it reflected in the windows of a unit with the full moon rising above the roof.

Thank you all for your comments.  Forgive me if I can't respond for the time being.  I now avoid taking on long term day jobs but couldn't say no when friends approached me when R.s mobility started failing, only a few weeks ago. Days later his condition was diagnosed as terminal and his decline has been very rapid.  It's very sad but this is what I do,

I think I ought to give an explanation. My job has no written description. I am neither a nurse or a carer in the true sense of the role although it's within my remit to do what is necessary to allow the elderly,  infirm or disabled to remain in their own homes.  I give support and respite to both the client and their families and do what ever it takes to allow them to live as they choose, to remain independent and in their own homes.

Sometimes I do very little and am little more than a companion, other times I hold a hand until the end, and beyond for their families.  Each person I take on has different needs and my time with them can be for weeks or years in cases.  It's a strange vocation but it's my way of giving something that the public services cannot provide in one package.
