Doorkeeper's Chair

Time to take a seat! 

This chair came into my home a couple of years ago, after my Mum passed away. It came to me almost accidentally, after a chance comment, that it reminded me of the Doorkeeper's chair from the Quaker Meeting in Hull. 

It turned out to be that very same, well used and somewhat battered, chair that I remember from Sunday Meetings. The then owners had given it a place  in their home as a temporary measure, to stop it being thrown out. Now it's in my home and reminds me of Sunday Meetings in the dim and distant past.
