Sunbathing
Helianthemum nummularium tomentosum, a hairy rock rose. This is an especially dwarf form with lovely silvery hairs.
Easy and widely grown, the rock-roses are most commonly yellow flowered in the wild. Sun lovers, enjoying a free draining site and tolerant of drought they can spread considerably from small beginnings. The cultivated forms come in orange and pink shades as well and all benefit from being cut back after flowering. This keeps them in check and encourages good flowering for next year.
