T-Shirts Unfolding, Canterbury Museum

Me and Mrs H have had a quick trip up to Christchurch today to get the car serviced (faulty aircon - not good on hot days like today!), so whilst we were waiting for the VW men to work their magic, we took a stroll round to the Canterbury Museum to check out a couple of exhibits now on: 'Selling the Dream: Classic New Zealand Tourism posters' (soooo cool!) and this one, 'T-Shirts Unfolding' which, according to the museum "explores the story of the garment over its 100-year history and the way in which T-shirts have been used as an expression of popular culture and art. Most of the T-shirts on display come from the collection of Melbourne-based Eddie Zammit, publisher of T-world".

It's a fascinating look at this bastion of fashion. There's some great designs on display (not to mention one that is very controversial - Google it for yourself!) , some of which are icons of their day.

On the way home, we took the scenic route once more. As we approached the Waimakariri Gorge the transition from golden to blue hour gave the most amazing purple light, all enveloping a nearly full moon, just on the rise. I'm still kicking myself there was nowhere to pull in so I could capture it ... :-(

Thanks to all of you for fave-ing, star-ing and commenting on my little bug shot yesterday. I'm stoked you all liked it so much and thanks for making it 'Popular'.
