Waves

It was bound to be a wave or a turtle photo today as those were the two things I shot on a trip to Playa Viva with RaspberryJefe and my wife. We were on hand to donate money raised last month at the Art Show to the turtle preservation projects in this area. We arrived just in time for the release of a dozen or so freshly hatched turtles, some of the usual kind I have photographed so many times in the past and some much larger Leatherbacks. Ultimately this black & white shot of a breaking wave won out over more turtles (as interesting as the Leatherbacks were). It doesn't, however, do justice to the power of these mighty waves, for that we need an audio track as well.
