The First Minister of Scotland

I had the opportunity to hear our First Minster speak today. Whether you agree with her politics or not, she is a passionate politician that's for sure. 

What struck me was that it's brilliant how close we can get to our elected politicians. 

There was probably about 80 folk in the audience and the First Minister mingled, chatted and even agreed to take up an issue on behalf of a small business representative. 

I'm unsure what democracy is meant to look like, but I'd say this is a fairly good example of what I think it should be.
