Borrowed Garden

I did some cutting back of more willows, roses and olearia bushes at the "allotment" this morning.  The ground has been lent to us by elderly neighbours who can't manage it all any more and I'm getting it ready to grow some veg in it this year.

While Ollie and I are there the hens are free range and scratch about the place, hunting for bugs and bits of greenery but when we leave, if the weather is good, I put them in their day run, which I move around to give them access to fresh ground.The rest of the time they are in their pen where they have a cosy house.   

This is just before the heavens opened!
