Hare Krishna in Oxford Street

I was just near Oxford Circus at lunchtime today and I could hear drums and chanting in the distance but couldn't see where it was coming from. Within a minute or so, a procession of people appeared, coming along Oxford Street from the Tottenham Court Road side, with this colourful cart behind them.

It was a Hare Krishna group, presumably from the temple just down the road in Soho Street. I looked up their website and it seems that today is the Festival of Gaura Purnima which means 'Golden Full Moon'. Oh and guess what.... there is a full moon tonight.
