A Day At A Time.

Moonshot 2

I arrived at school to find it strangely deserted. Only a handful of pupils and fewer staff seemed to be about. It transpired that the main road was blocked in both directions just a few kilometres from school, due to a crash involving three bin lorries that had, apparently, been racing each other down the road at 4:30 this morning!

One had hit the central reservation and fallen over, spewing its contents all over the carriageway. The retrieval operation did not start until much later in the morning, by which time the tailback stretched some 40 kilometres to Fuengirola. I come to school in the opposite direction and knew nothing about it. One of my colleagues took three hours to do a 20 minute journey.

After school, I paid my usual Thursday visit to Mum and then sped home for a game of padel with some friends.  I can't say the skill level was very high as none of us had played much for months, but it was fun and it took my mind off feeling a bit hungry.

Now it's off to bed and it will soon be time for breakfast!
