It's my birthday

And I couldn't possibly have blipped anything apart from the cake. At the beginning of the week I sent my parents a video of a checkerboard cake and said I wanted it for my birthday and that I'd eat it all(?!) I didn't expect them to make it and present it to me tonight! My mum doesn't have the best reputation when it comes to cooking so it's quite an achievement! Because the cake was all cream icing on the outside I thought they were just winding me up to start with, and had just covered a plain cake in icing to make me think they'd made it. So yes, very surprised. Thank you mum (and dad, helped too apparently).
