Showing the way

The Buchan village where I live has a crossroads at its centre with roads leading north to Fraserburgh, south to Aberdeen, east to Peterhead, and west to Maud and New Pitsligo. Where these roads enter the village has been marked by four inscribed gateway stones. This project was instigated by the community council and funded by the Council's Improving Villlages scheme with the big stones donated by a local farmer. Further landscaping work around them will take place in the next month or so to enhance them even further. This one is at the east of the village as you drive in from Longside. It's an interesting shape!
