I'm picking the number of people happy to see the demise of this apartment block is greater than those in the opposing camp.

It was only constructed a few years ago, but was damaged in the earthquakes and developed a lean, so down it comes.

There is nothing remotely close to this size in the vicinity and it's not exactly sympathetic to the landscape.

However, I don't take too much pleasure in watching people's homes and investments crumble to dust. I look forward to the day when I will be done with documenting what used to be there, and go find other things to photograph.

But for the next week or so, expect more of this!
