The Drought Has Broken

Fingers crossed the drought has broken. We had gales and torrential rain here this morning with the weather clearing in the afternoon. I drove out into the country to visit friends Richard and Rachel. The rain was pouring down and the wind threatening to lift the iron roofing off their Packhouse. The huge Liquidambar tree had lost a big branch with it narrowly missing an old farm building. Alas the Portaloo on site for workmen had been bowled over. We expect more heavy rain tomorrow...
