Coloured Pencil Challenge
No. 36/36. ( or No 365 out of a possible 1791!)
I am full of admiration for those who have managed to Blip continuously over the years despite having to go about their daily business. My track record on that score isn't great however I have reached two tiny milestones today. This is number 36 out of 36 in the coloured pencil challenge and of course my 365th Blip - despite having been around for 4 years 10 months and 24 days!
The coloured pencil challenge has been "interesting", Some ideas worked well others not so well. Even todays was not what I planned - I had planned the shot to have the black pencil floating unsupported above the 5. I downloaded all the photographs I needed then realised that I hadn't installed Photoshop on this laptop. I use Lightroom 99.9% of the time but for this shot, I needed layers. Never mind - maybe for my 720th in 5 years time!
I will undoubtedly return to one or two if the pencil shots in the future - there is scope for some nice shots I think with a little more careful planning and selection of pencils. The pencils I have used here are of the cheap bargain basement variety and it does show, particularly when regularity is required for accurate placement or when the macro is used. The finishes of pencils are full of blemishes.
Any how I'd just like to thank those who have encouraged, favourited and sent stars . Your input is very much appreciated.
Right now I am off to see how new arrival Boris is doing. DrT tells me that he was a star last night. Apparently he settled in his new home away from his brothers and sisters and parents for the first time and pretty much slept through the whole night without any whimpering or crying.
I will undoubtedly be posting Boris pics from now on. If you found the coloured pencils repetitive and boring, you had better fasten your seat belts!!
