Slendid Sidney

We have two Peacocks at Powis Castle, Alan, the dominant male, and Sidney the young pretender, there are three females and a teenager, that has also turned out to be a teenage boy. The females have always been  in Alan's territory, until this year that is, this year Sidney is making a play for power, moving up the courtyard towards  Alan's pitch, ( the main doorway into the castle). the females had swapped sides, and were hanging around Sidney. Now things have changed again, Sidney is looking stunning, but not quite stunning enough it seems, as the girls have again changed sides, and were running after Alan this morning. Alan's strutting arrogantly around and looking wonderful.( and chuffed)
