Clean boots

Susan has done a good job cleaning up our boots and applying waterproofing after last week's visit to the Lake District. The boots took a hammering (well, we think so) covering 60 miles in all sorts of conditions, including bog, marsh, streams, puddles, mud and rock and remained dry and snug all week.

This morning it was to the gym for the weekly workout, rewarded by a good cup of coffee afterwards. After lunch it was time to clean two very dirty cars, dirty inside and out. Susan hoovered and cleaned inside while I did the fun bit with the pressure washer and hosepipe outside afterwards.

Time for a soak in a hot bath now. Tickets arrived today for the England v Scotland rubgy match next weekend. Another packed day tomorrow with a signalmans' meeting at 10.00, preceded by my medical, then a "cohesion conference" with the rugby refeees advisor group - after a good lunch of course!
