Duma
Duma and his sister are such wonderful cats. We found them at an artist friend's farm when they were tiny kittens. He was the oldest of four and Mehitabel was the youngest. We picked Duma out first because we were looking for an orange boy. It took a while to choose Mehitabel. Later when we looked at all the photos we took while they were tiny, we noticed that Duma and Mehitabel were always together in every one. So we made the right choice. And neither one of them has ever given us a reason to regret our choice. They are both the sweetest, silliest, most terrific cats we've ever had. (Except perhaps for Archie, who is right up there with them as an all time favorite of mine. He was a beautiful alley angora who never, ever bit or scratched and who was my soulmate during some very difficult years.) But I digress...
Arvin is at Adult Day Health. I'm at home doing the wash while Marleny and her daughter clean our house. It is nice to have a quiet day.
Tonight is the opening of the portrait show at Studio UFO. Since Trish's studio is a school and not a formal gallery, this is the best time to see the paintings. Studio UFO is not open for regular hours. So if you are in town, please come to the opening by between six and nine. Arvin and I will be there during the early hours. The subjects of the portraits will be there too, and so will the artists. The gallery is on the bottom floor of the Bay Street Village building on the corner of Bay Street and Holly. Tom, the portrait subject with guitar, will be playing and singing from seven o'clock on. Should be fun. Hope to see some of your there.
