Sheltering from the storm
The birds have joined the cattle in the paddocks as a storm approaches. Blip mate and I ventured down to the Kumaras where a strong north east was blowing and rain was imminent. The tide was coming in but nothing out there to make a composition so I turned inland to find the pied oystercatchers lined up. The tiny bird to right of the post is a New Zealand dotterel.Several of those too but they were moving too fast.
Storm has now passed. Given us some more rain so for that we are grateful.
