Ready To Fly

We finally got our passport photos taken today. All three of us need them. Lincoln's looks adorable. As for us, we don't come out quite so well when we can't smile.

We had a bit of excitement around the house today. It started at 5am when Olive came in and was acting strangely. I got up to investigate but couldn't find anything. Later on we went to hang out the washing before heading out. I got down to the last two items from the machine and found a live mouse in there! My best guess is that it got in there at some point during the day to hide from Olive then we obliviously threw washing on top of it. It must have swum for its life during the cycle. Somehow it made it through. That wasn't the end of it. It jumped out of the machine and went behind (and presumably inside) the beer fridge. We couldn't find it and we were already late for a BBQ. So we wedged cardboard under the door and went out. We got two mousetraps on the way home and they've been set. So we wait...
We're really looking forward to re-washing the clothes when we can get in there again.
