Patterned ceramic shard
A Saturday morning visit to the shops for a fresh croissant followed by a short wander on the main beach at Carnoustie has given rise to the last photo in the current short series "interesting little things on the beach". I have been looking all week at stoneware fragments and shards amongst the shells and stones, but not one of them has had anything by way of colour. A little thrill this morning then to see this piece, with what I take to be a transfer print.
Post coffee and croissant it has been a morning walk for Maeve the Deerhound and I again today to avoid the hottest part of the day. Down at Westhaven beach the lovely cooling breeze was there again, so I sat for a while on the seat in the dunes listening to radio Scotland on iPod and enjoyed looking out to sea. Maeve stood and looked about and insisted on much head stroking :-)
