A sun underfoot

I was clearing scrub at the nature reserve this afternoon and found the very first Coltsfoot in bloom. These early flowers are just wonderfull, somehow far more exotic and perfect than when they are flowering amongst a mass of different flowers. What's more, they will be a crucial nectar source for the very early bees that were also zooming about today.
