Vibrant reflections
The forecast was looking good so we were up with the larks and on the road at 9. Having made arrangements to drop in on my mum in Skipton for tea and scones after 4, we headed over to Hebden Bridge and wandered round the town in relaxed mode. Such a photogenic place, we had so much to look at. At one point we headed up a near vertical cobbled path to try and find a higher viewpoint - that woke the thigh muscles up!
After a bite to eat at a 40's themed cafe (Blitz Rarebit - that's a Welsh one with Spam!), enjoying the talented singer/guitarist busking in the square, we ambled along the canal. I finally moved into Manual mode, and was quite pleased with some of the results.
The reflections here were so bright they seemed to sing in the water.
Drove back via Hardcastle Crags, and some amazing scenery. We did get a bit lost at one point, but the satnav came to the rescue. Tea and cakes with mum, then home to flop with pizza and a bottle of fizz. What a lovely day!
