Sunshine

What a beautiful day of wall to wall sunshine.
Sometimes, when it's sunny, we just need to see the sea. The nearest to us is Southend-On-Sea - not the best but any port in a storm! We walked along the pier and back, which is 1 1/4 miles each way, we wandered around the shops briefly, then sat on the beach for a while. Although it was beautifully sunny the wind was very chilly. Then drove along to Leigh-On-Sea- a lovely fishing village, and by this time the tide was out - hence the photo of the beached boat.
Returned home a round about way via Harefield Hospital to visit a friend who has been stuck in hospital for 7 weeks. She is in amazingly good spirits and should have her pacemaker refitted this week.
Home now, feet up, after a great day.
