End of the adventure

Back where we started last Sunday at Lake Rotoiti, Nelson Lakes National Park.

The adventure is over and what a great time we've had. The boys have beards. We all have at least one blister, we're in our cleanest clothes (which isn't saying much) and we've had the best week.

Lots of laughs, a few near misses (but no injuries), multiple wasp stings for some (not me), sand fly bites for all, good calls on weather, safety and changes to our original plans, and we completed the route we wanted to do.

So much fun, so many moments where we knew we were somewhere special, so many moments we'll remember when we're old and want to bore our kids/grand kids/nieces and nephews with tales of our middle years.

So much dirty washing ;-)
