60th birthday party

Tonight we were in Falkirk celebrating Eubers' 'barbershop' brother's 60th birthday at an African restaurant. He is an active supportive of work in Tanzania organised by the Vine Trust, hence the choice of restaurant.

The themed straw boater cake was baked and designed by his youngest daughter, and there were lots of other wee barbershop touches eg we were all wearing bow ties. Despite all brothers being present, there was sadly no barbershop quartet singing tonight. How Eubers misses it !!!!!!!

From tonight's carvery, I tried roast goat and springbok sausage. For me, that was bold and highly adventurous!
