Pitted and Scarred

Ogham writing that spells out my name. Ogham is an ancient alphabet and is the first form of writing in Ireland.

I bought this ring 10 months ago in Dingle, Ireland on a trip I took with a very close friend and her sister. The ring was polished and shiny when new; now it is pitted and scarred.

For reasons I don't fully understand, I am no longer friends with these two. I still miss them dearly, but I don't think I'll ever have a chance to make amends. I try to convince myself that it's all for the best.
