Shove over, Solomon
Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
Luke, Ch.12, v. 28-29
There's a small tree planted in memory of a dear member of my church on the church's front lawn. To my mind it's rather a sad little tree, a bit drooping in habit with bronze leaves, though it looks well enough in the short time that it bears blossom. B.'s widow chose it, and she seems to like it, so fair enough.
Look what's sprung up around the trunk though. Just humble little crocuses, but a joy to see on another cold morning.
