Bookgroup nibbles
Made sure I left work on time as I was hosting one of my bookgroups this evening. Best wine glasses polished, vegetables chopped, wine chilled and crisps poured into bowls ready for off.
One of our members has had a very nasty hand injury and it was lovely to see her looking and feeling a lot better. Most of us had read the book (Elizabeth is missing) and we had an interesting discussion on dementia and memory. We were all surprised that the author was so young. A good book that was funny, sad and thought provoking.
Once the book was discussed, we moved on to our usual catching up session with more wine and nibbles. As usual, we finished with coffee and posh biscuits.
Husband and son number one had escaped to the cinema for the evening and returned just in time to scoop up the leftovers.
