Scottish Italian connection

This amused me. This leather coaster for Edinburgh University, was on sale in Jenners in Edinburgh.
Jenners is one of Scotland's oldest upmarketcdepartment stores and was independent until fairly recently.
The coaster was being sold in the Valvonna and Crolla food store within Jenners.
Valvonna and Crolla is one of the oldest and most prestigious Italian delicatessens in Scotland. Their Elm Row shop is full of authentic Italian produce and when you walk in you feel you could be in Naples not Edinburgh. It was one of my favourite shops as a child.
Having been narrowly beaten by Italy at rugby last weekend, this was an interesting combination.
