The BMF Scotland first ever Trade Day got off to an unexpected start when the fire alarm sounded just as the capacity audience were settling in their seats.

What followed was an impromptu social gathering in the car park and enabled members extra time to catch up after a long winter.

Fortunately the sun was shining, had it been 'chucking it down' it would have been a different tale to tell

Chaired by Yachting Life editor Alistair Vallance the event eventually got underway and proved to be really interesting afternoon with six or so speakers on everything from engine maintenance to the latest electronic navigation systems. Not to mention a fabulous half time buffet courtesy of The British Marine Federation Scotland.
