Words and Women 2015

A showcase of emerging women writers in Norwich as part of International Women's Day 2015. 

Women read their short stories, two women musicians from Zimbabwe sang songs they had written, and actresses performed monologues.

Here we see one of the actresses in a moment from a monologue about a woman who had taken over the running of a local railway station in Knebworth which I think was my favourite piece.

Another piece entitled 'Shut Up' told the story of Jane Sellars, a Norwich woman who was hanged for theft in Norwich in the 17th century. Shocking and chilling.
