First bike ride of the season!

Loving this spell of beautiful weather we have been enjoying since Thursday. Today was calm and almost cloud-free, so the temperature climbed very nicely during the day after another frosty morning. Laura returned to Paris again this afternoon to meet up with a friend, while Roger and I went for a bike ride (first one of the year for me!) along the Canal du Loing, where I had walked on Friday. We drove through the medieval town of Moret sur Loing on the way, and I don't think I had ever seen it so crowded - loads of people out walking and picnicking by the river, enjoying the Spring-like weather. Our usual parking spot was full, so we had to follow the road a little further along the canal to find somewhere else to park. The towpath trail was also a very popular place, with walkers, cyclists and dog-walkers. As we were driving back home we passed a huge number of motor cyclists going the other way, and a couple of antique cars - everybody was out making the most of the sunshine!
