Polar Expedition

A quick shopping trip to Dundee today and as the weather was lovely we had a walk along the riverside. This penguin & his friends commemorate Captain Scotts Polar Expedition in the early 1900's on the RRS Discovery which is now in dock at Dundee. There is going to be a new V&A museum built on the waterfront, I suspect these roadworks will be there for a long time.

I did love the cute penguins :)

Dad is now in a surgical ward recuperating and is in good spirits. Modern science is amazing, he's 79 yrs old and had major surgery 5 days ago, is now sitting up in bed with his Iphone, chatting to his 9 children & 12 grandchildren on Facebook...
