Snipe

This morning I had an appointment in Telford so on the way back home I called at Venus Pool Nature Reserve near Shrewsbury.
There were a lot of birds around, it was raining heavily and the sky grey but luckily there are hides to keep dry. I was pleased to see a pair of snipe digging in the mud close to the hide - they can be quite difficult to spot as their camouflage is so good. I liked their green legs too.
