Half-a-dozen eggs

Eggs are, in the UK at least, still sold in the decidedly un-metric multiple of six - or half-a-dozen as we Brits still put it.

So it was heartening to find exactly that number in the nest box today and, what's more, equal quantities of white and dark brown.

I don't think  I've got OCD, but I do find little things like this more satisfying than I probably should...
