Memories

I found a book at a carboot sale on Saturday called In Cobham's Company Sixty years of Flight Refuelling.  I recalled that my father had worked for this company in before he went abroad to work in 1950.  Mum couldn't recall the name but told me that my sister had typed up an unfinished  autobiography which I had not heard about.  I got a copy of it and it confirmed my memory of his telling me about his early life, and I have learned a few things I never knew.  I wish I could show him my book as he would have been interested in it, and would probably have known some of the people mentioned in it around 1948.  My father wrote that he worked as a Capstan Lather Setter/Operator and was paid 37/6 a week!
