5 Rise Retail Centre

Welcome to the world Mitch and his wife's beautiful new daughter at the weekend - can't wait to meet her and oh new born baby cuddles again!!!
So a busy Monday and week ahead with a man off changing nappies, looking after daughter number 1 and pampering his wife of course! 
I haven't stopped from early doors this morning.... juggling lots of plates but with some lovely bits in between!  And a busy Monday with lovely bits is a good way to start the week!

So a very quickly grabbed blip today, didn't even know the theme until lunchtime - baaaaad blipper and this was my one and only option... but I quite like it!

Here is the entrance gate to the 5 Rise Retail Centre, which is locked in an evening as the arcade was once the favoured haunt of skateboarders.  The arcade is wee, half the size it was and most of the units are empty sadly, extortionate rates and low foot fall I expect.  I remember when it had a job centre, a fresh fruit and veg stall, a Yorkshire Electric shop and a........ Presto, where a lady worked who used to throw your change back at you after inspecting your given notes with vigour.

There is a skateboard park in Myrtle Park now, behind the vanishing Bradford and Bingley building .... glad they've somewhere to go.
