Just putting the finishing touches

then Hooray the road is now finished until next time a bit rough but at least no lake to drive through, no big holes to bump up and down, no diversions for the buses and no traffic lights to cause chaos. 2 weeks it's taken them to do what would normally be a simple job of resurfacing a piece of road that just needed hiring. Unfortunately the heavy equipment disturbed the water main and caused a bad leak, it also caused a back up of sewage  and apparently the doctors surgery got the terrible smells there is a small pumping station underground at that point as it's at the bottom of a hill (water has to be pumped upwards, ) and  it's close to the surface, I think because it was just a secondary road at one time not a bus route as it is now, so  every time the road needs resurfacing we get the leak.  Someone should tell the contractors to be careful....
Got wet on the way back from taking the dogs out but otherwise we had a good walk.
