Yorkshire Area

Today was the Yorkshire Area Brass Band Championships, where I was competing.  Our test piece was The Torchbearer by Peter Graham, a piece that we played before when it was first used for the national finals a few years back.

We played well on stage, and came out third overall, beating both Black Dyke and Brighouse & Rastrick.  Grimethorpe were second and Carlton Main are the new Yorkshire Champions.  I got a mention in the remarks for my quality timpani playing. :-)
