Mizzle!

A real mizzle of a day today - mist only thickened as the day wore on. Walk with Portly Lucy was pleasant but I just walked round the village today, nothing too strenuous for me or her! Then friend came for a coffee before I drove her to hospital for the first of her 3 scans prior to surgery. Had to wait nearly an hour and then it took an hour. Everyone seemed relatively young, one lad was under 18 as his mum had to sign his permission form. No one looked particularly ill or worried, but I think some sort of mist settles on people undergoing tests - no one is sure what is wrong, hence the tests, so for the moment everyone is in a suspended state - awaiting the results and not knowing till they hear them what their reaction is going to be, what it is they have to face or what fears are going to be allayed.
After this we went food shopping for me and the chickens, Dr's surgery to pick up sicknote and prescription. Some treats for Milly and Tilly before bedtime and suddenly it's dark and I'm feeling flat. Turkish coffee finally out of my system and tiredness from fun packed weekend kicking in, along with the reality of my friends situation once more. She has been with family all week, funeral of her brother who died from Bowel cancer. But tomorrow the sun is coming out to play again, and she will come down to look at the clothes that didn't sell on saturday, then we will decide how to spend the rest of the day to make the most of the good weather.
