Mono Monday: The Door of Clodock Church
Exits and Entrances, the door of Clodock Church.
This is my local church and a thing of beauty. Clodock church is dedicated to St Clydawg, King of Ewias, who was martyred about 500AD. The church stands on the site of his tomb, beside the river Monnow and overlooked by the Black Mountains. It is 12th century and grade I listed.
It also has a magnificent cemetery with hundreds of ancient tomb stones that will no doubt feature in future Blips. Cemetery Sunday springs to mind ;)
