Playtime

Katie and Grandad like their garden time on a Tuesday. They have a set of favourite games. A new addition to the set is hulahoop basketball. Grandad and a hula hoop form the net. They also play extreme swing. Where Grandad suspends Katie up high, like so.
 
She'd not been a happy girl going into school yesterday and had clung to me. One of her teachers had said she was like a koala and that perhaps today she should try hopping in like a kangaroo. Katie had been all set to do this until we got to the gate. Thankfully, slightly less koala featured today, but she definitely didnt want to bounce in. 

Her teacher took her beans facts with good humour; she told me he laughed and said that he liked it. He wrote a little beans-based rhyme in her reading record too! She was a bit less impressed that he wouldn't let her read much of the book that she'd taken in to read with him (Tuesday is one of her one-to-one session days).  Today for the first time this year she walked home with no coat on and had been excited that she could play out at school with no coat. 

Grandad and Granny had brought Katie's new rainbows uniform today - our local shop didnt have her sizes. It looks very cute! I have made her leggings to go with her hoody and tshirt. She's very pleased with her outfit!
