Underwhelmed

So, another gig thing and I’ve gone all 4AD again.

Saturday night at The Leadmill twenty five years ago will not go down in My Personal History as one of the greatest nights out ever, I can’t even remember who I went to this one with and, although the band played fine , they really were somewhat underwhelming. And, they did have just the one song, it was actually quite a hit in those rarified indie circles of 1990 and though it was released on an EP with other tracks, and they made an album (and obviously played gigs of a certain length as well) it was just the one song, I challenge anyone to name any other of theirs apart than the one I’m about to link to – indeed, my main memory of the evening is that one of the band was wearing a mustard-coloured cardigan.
