Paperboy in training

Ben has been doing a paper round in Linton for three years but wants/needs to give it up before his GCSE's start.  It's been great, allowing him to indulge his penchant for branded clothing (as opposed to the cheaper ones his mother would choose).

Sam is very keen to take it on, but he's a little young and I'm not as confident in his cycling skills and road awareness.

The compromise is a trial period where I cycle with him whilst he learns the route and demonstrates to me how safe and sensible he is.  Day one was today.

In other paper-boy-related news, today I deduced (following new information) that despite being in the catchment we have not been receiving the free weekly 'Saffron Walden Reporter'.  The paper-boy responsible has been dumping the papers and has got away with it for around about 3 years....!
